Binding

The two types of document binding which we can do in-store are:

    • Unibind Steel Cover Heat Binding System
    • Coil Binding

21 ring coil binding is a simple and economical method of binding a document into plastic coils by punching holes in the document with the binding machine, and putting the binding spine, or ‘comb’ into the holes. This is good if you want a simple presentation but more than a staple. The 21 ring coil binding system is most suitable when it is desired for the document to lie flat when opened. However, if this is not important, then the Unibind Steel Cover Heat Binding System is another option.

Documents are usually bound with an acetate front cover and a card back cover. Various colours of card are available.

The coil sizes which we stock and the maximum number of pages, based on 80gsm paper, that they are suited for are as follows:

    • 6mm – 25 pages
    • 8mm – 45 pages
    • 10mm – 70 pages
    • 12mm – 100 pages
    • 14mm – 125 pages
    • 16mm – 145 pages
    • 19mm – 165 pages
    • 22mm – 180 pages
    • 25mm – 220 pages
    • 28mm – 250 pages
    • 32mm – 290 pages
    • 38mm – 330 pages
    • 51mm – 450 pages

Stocked in black only.

We are also able to arrange other forms of binding, including perfect binding and book publishing using outside contractors.
